London Acoustics
A little bit about London Acoustics... We are a group of very passionate producers and musicians who met in London with a passion for recording gear and years of experience working in the pro-audio industry. Our mission is to offer cool new sound palettes for our users and, of course, for ourselves!
The DEW Product Line is a series of official Acqua plugin(s) designed and created by official Third-Party Developers, who use Acustica’s technology while adhering to its standards of quality, stability, and compatibility. It represents a space where talented professionals can bring their own visions to life while relying on the same groundbreaking technology that defines our core products.
Each DEW release is built upon Acustica’s proprietary VVK Technology and powered by the Hyper Engine, our next generation architecture designed for exceptional quality, light use, and performance. This combination ensures that every DEW plugin delivers the unmistakable Acustica sound — authentic, musical, and deeply dynamic.
Sydney vintage console
Sydney vintage console can deliver that warm, crisp and lively character of the 70’s sound ITB.
The sum effect of this 32 channels console is quite distinctive and evident, without altering, in a pejorative sense, the original material. Once you take it away, you miss it – exactly what a proper console should do.
Its EQ, especially the Low Shelf and the High Shelf, is definitely unique and really comes into its own when pushed hard enough.
The distortion effect of the SYDNEY SAT plugin is the icing on the cake for those who want to add a more extreme character to their tracks - a side effect that was once unwanted but is now more popular than ever.
What makes Sydney vintage console so special?
It is widely believed that the best level of analogue recording quality was achieved between the mid-70s and mid-80s.
For this reason, as we are very passionate about that sound, we embarked on a journey that began with Osaka Mix EQ, through Taipei Studio Tape, and now continues with the new Sydney console.
Regarding the numerous preamps, both the signal path sampled on passive circuits, for a cleaner, more linear response, and those sampled from the full active circuits, for a response with more character, have proven to be effective and capable of bringing any material back to life.
The Low Shelf and High Shelf are definitely unique, and to our knowledge we haven’t found any other EQs yet that sound like this. They deliver very full-bodied but controlled bass, especially with the addition of the filter, and articulate highs that are always incredibly silky even at high gains.
The standalone saturation/distortion rack allows you to place it before the console, for a vintage kind of effect, or after, for a more contemporary application.
Sydney vintage console features:
- Low Shelf +/-10dB nominal gain (around +/-15dB measured), 60/100Hz.
- Semi-Parametric Mid-Low band, continuous, +/- 14dB nominal gain (+/- 15dB measured), 150/200/300/400/600/900/1200/1800/2500/3500/5000/7000Hz stepped frequencies.
- High Shelf +/-10dB gain on paper (around +/-15dB measured), 7.5/10kHz.
