EMERALD2 is a VST/AAX/AU plug-in suite partly based on some matchless processors built in Germany between the '60s and the '70s, known and appreciated for their unique sound and design. Emerald2 now includes a new faithful emulation and an additional, incredibly rare dual mono EQ, the E200. Plus, thanks to the power of our CORE 14 technology, we achieved a substantial improvement in terms of sound quality and performance of all the included plugins.
emErALd2 consists of:
For each plugin included in our EMERALD2 suite, there is a “Standard” version or an alternative “ZL*” version that operates at *zero latency at the cost of extra processing resources and is thus suitable for use when tracking.
EMERALD2 filter expands on the filtering section of its bigger brother, in that it offers low- and high-pass filter cells with a selectable slope starting at from 6dB/oct and going all the way up to a quite unusual 36dB/oct. EMERALD2 filter also includes the same preamp stage as EMERALD2 equalizer.
Emerald2 E200 is a dual-mono ‘Home-brew’ EQ emulation inspired by an iconic German parametric equalizer featuring a Preamp stage, seven individually switchable, fully tunable filters with variable Q ranging from extremely narrow notch filtering to widely shaped curves. Plus, it features a +/-12dB gain/cut control, shelving bass (60Hz) & treble bands (10kHz), and Low/High-Cut filters with 36dB/oct making this EQ a universal 'problem solver.'
It is no coincidence that this EQ was widely used by many engineers and bands back in the day, including rock legends Pink Floyd.
