Thanks to its classy tone and extreme flexibility, Azure2 will become an indispensable tool in your mixing and mastering arsenal. Mirco Reimer, aka Analog in the Box, and the Acustica team called on Zino Mikorey, one of the most celebrated Mastering Engineers in Europe, to give birth to an exciting project.
This beast of a plug-in delivers the sound of a custom-made vacuum tube passive mastering EQ and embodies the most accurate digital representation of Zino Mikorey's holographic three-dimensional sound.
Azure2 is a faithful emulation of a passive hand-made equalizer characterized by tube make-up stages and the finest transformers - making it ideal for a wide range of applications.
The transparency and three-dimensional quality of the original hardware are simply unmatched in the industry.
The life it can breathe into mixes, vocals, and instruments is something you need to hear for yourself to explore its infinite possibilities. Compared to similar designs, it makes everything sound more "like a record."
While having the tone and the sound purity of passive designs, Azure2 has precise sound-shaping capabilities with a Q control for all bands. Both stereo and mid-side operational modes are available.
Azure2 also truthfully reproduces the dynamic "transformer sound" of the original design and the characteristics of Zino’s signal path.
One thing that makes Azure2 different from the hardware is the summing topology of the bands. Azure reacts more like a conventional equalizer giving you the exact desired level of boost/cut. This makes for a much easier evaluation of the applied processing compared to the passive parallel hardware design.
