Audio Guru Greg Wells' Signature Compressor Plugin
Greg Wells is one of the music industry's most talented and respected engineers. He has worked with a plethora of international artists, including Katy Perry, Keith Urban, Adele, Mayer Hawthorne, Grace VanderWaal, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Pharrell Williams, Dua Lipa, the Deftones, Twenty-One Pilots, OneRepublic, Aerosmith, Burt Bacharach, Celine Dion, and many others.
Take Greg Wells. Then, take one of the finest, most musical-sounding analog tube compressors and add a bit of voodoo to expand its capabilities, gradually transforming it into something extraordinary through a through process of artistic experimentation and technological innovation.
Now, put the two together. Through this alchemic process, the groundbreaking El Rey plugin was created.
Vintage DNA
El Rey brings ultra-smooth, velvety, and unprecedentedly musical compression to the digital domain. Acustica Audio’s tech innovations and esoteric touch made it possible to transport the sonic soul of this unit from its original hardware into a world dominated by DAW-based studios. Now, it’s ready for you to apply to your sessions. Give your productions an articulate analog tone that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
Signature Presets from the Industry's Top Pros
El Rey includes crafted presets from Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum-certified audio engineers Dave Pensado, Joe Chiccarelli, Serban Ghenea, Jason Evigan, David Kalmusky, Alan Meyerson, Mark “Spike” Stent, Busbee and Mark Rubel. Combined, their album credits are so extensive that it would take forever to list them all.

For further details consult the user manual.
Compressor Efficiency - Faster, more accurate and at a fraction of the CPU consumption than before, ensuring the most improved and precise compression to date. The resolution of the compressor has been 'boosted', providing precise and controlled handling of transients. Our new optimized Engine now recalculates variables at the sampling frequency, ensuring predictable behavior and, thanks to the oversampling, we also achieve unmatched accuracy and improved audio quality.
Debumpify Feature - The De-Bumpify control for optional reduction of the low frequency pre-amp sonics -particularly useful for stereobus and mastering purposes through bypassing the bump on the preamp.
Stereo Controls - New stereo controls that provide the ability to work in stereo unlinked or midside.
