About the guitars, I like to imagine all of them like if it's a "wall of guitars" and the only way I can give that sound is with using the good reverb. I love "valhallashimmer". In this song, the main track is the electric bass where I play high notes and almost chords like if it was a guitar. On that track, I use a lot of "valhallashimmer". When the heavy guitar tracks come, if I remove that bass track, it sounds empty. For those heavy tracks, I use the Kemper Profiling Amp with some Mesa presets. Those two tracks are panned almost completely left and right. What I like to use now to shape the EQ from those guitar tracks is the TC Assimilator plugin from the PowerCore. My reference was the guitars from one song from the band Chevelle. With the assimilator, I can "copy" the tone of those guitars. I know I could just use normal EQs but it's quick to get that tone and it gives more space for the vocals. I also use Guitar Rig 5 when I want some guitar tracks that inspire me even before starting mixing. I mean, I love the Kemper Profiling Amp but almost all presets are dry, sometimes it's inspiring to randomly try presets in Guitar Rig.
For mixing, I get so good results since I use a lot of Nebula programs, mainly from CDsoundmaster. When I bypass all those programs, the tracks are not friends anymore. I plan to make a video on Youtube showing what I use on my tracks.
