This sound was Recorded at home studio, inside the room singer. The batteries were made, he and a friend Paulo Bonfin the samba school Portela. The material was delivered to me, For mixing . This material is simple, And I am posting for Demonstrating the power of the nebula,Even in a songs without capture quality. There were several factors for not being good,However nebula saved the day. The equipment of the singer, was: Mac g4. digi002 mixer Mics shure sm 58 And a D112 . Mic akg c 3000 voice and cavacos. No pre valved entries only those who belong to digi002. And an Alesis 3630 compressor. The mix could be better if there were more resources. But what the nebula, succeeded do in the mix, haunted me. It's worth checking the result. with Protools LE 8.04. A hug to everyone. the link for download:
And yes I mastered, with nebula and softube compressors and maxim plugin. It was hard work, because of capture of audio, most everything went right, I would have done more, But it was not possible. A big hug
first, as already said, the music is great, nicely arranged and played by good musicians. so this is just convincing. i love brasilian music too ! for the mix: i like it, it flows evenly and presents the music in a good way. the staging in depth is nice, the l-r-panorama is good. sometimes the scratches and some other "events" stick out a little too much for my taste, i would try to manage it to be a little more compact, in the mastering stage. bring something from the background a little upfront and tame some sounds that jump at you from the speakers. in the end my ears got a little tired from some high-end sizzle, i think it is the pandeiro. after a while of listening it gets a little thin and with too much "ssssssssss"- sound. if you can get this a little softer, not necessary darker, just a little softer. maybe the right and good placed low-pass will do it? just a little, not too much, so it will not get too dark.
by the way, thank you for your hugs mimi, here is mine for you ......... all the best from germany, mathias

Yeah good job Mimi, Just listen to it on cheap computer speakers and it's balanced. A little on the bright side but that's today "sound" in every music genre...Anyway, for the title it's some "Bossa Nova" not samba music if I'm right. Tip : When you mixing hip hop if your looking for more impact or punch "center" the music a little bit more: especially the drums.Don't play too much in the stereo field. And the CLC was a good choice. One.

This song was a challenge, that was entirely recorded in a bedroom, and was sent to me in my studio for mixing, well, in January the artist Lincon de Lima, will make another recording, and I will definitely work more whimsically.
