Giancarlo - will Amethyst be a compressor? Can you show a first picture or small handy video? :)

btw. installed caribou compressor... and it was not possible to use it... it had around 80% CPU Power and heaviest Spikes i ever saw in a plugin. Useless. Sorry. Deinstalled it directly.

Giancarlo, will we see this new improved tech for older Compressors like Ultramarine and Murano as well?

Will Pink be an EQ or Compressor?

Pink is an eq(A P I) looking forward to it
i hope it will have smaller steps than the HW
that would make it more versatile over HW and nebula a p i`s
that would make it truly special
and will be hard to resist buying if smaller steps happen
i also hope Acustica do an similar exiting thing they did with the Navy, after all its Acustica :)

ok please do it sometime later! imagine how these compressors will shine with your new tech achievements. titanium, murano, ultramarine are such great classic devices, they will always and forever be used, so I think they deserve being fueled by your best tech. people will always continue to buy them even after years if they are truly great!

Yes, I think it has to be done as well, and feel thrilled by this idea. Caribou comp is amazing. But patience is the credo of the Acustica Jedi !

we'll post a picture on next week. It is ready though, we are just assembling programs inside (fabio started it and francesco will complete it in a couple of days, than we'll start betatesting).

About CPU load:
- it is based on a single compressor, while caribou is based on 4
- the insane mode is featuring the same cpu load of a single compressor, so in your case 20%
- normal mode is based on the same program rate used by tim p, which is 0.7 milliseconds. Insane mode is based on a program rate which is 0.044 milliseconds, here the difference
- so normal mode should be REALLY LIGHT in your system. It should be 16 times ligher. So I guess around 1% in your system.
- differently from our developers we are running an optimized system which makes everything even ligher on cpu. More or less there is a 10x factor. Sometimes even more. It means that our developers today could not run their instances in real time at our crazy program rates. This tech will be released in the future, and today it is available in our acqua plug-ins.
- we are running way more complex envelope followers than what our 3rd party developers are using. For example the envelope follower used in caribou or amethyst is smoothed. It can take in account charge/discharge cycles, so a memory. Alone our evenlope follower requires way more cpu load.

- about prime compressor let me say a thing. I understand it is heavy, but think a bit about the cost of that console, and how unique it is. That console is featuring only ONE compressor. It costs hundreds of thousands. It is legendary. The sound is CLOSE, very CLOSE. I was not able to recognize it in our blind tests. Today this is the price for this kind of precision. There are other emulations around, I don't think they are so much close, but someone could prove me wrong.
