Preview sample rate and mono/stereo in Win7?

Postby dagovitsj » Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:32 am

Right, this is perhaps kind of a strange question! I used win xp for many years and could easily see sample rate, mono/stereo etc in Windows explorer.

With Win7 this option seems to have disappeared and now my habit is to open VLC to see what sample rate, mono/stereo a wav file has.

But these days I'm trying to see how I can get a more effeccient work flow, and it just struck me that - this is rather unconvenient.

Is there a "hack" or a smart way to get this functionality back in Win7?

Thanks!

Thanks!
I found a little program called MediaInfo, you can hover over a wavfile and get the sample rate and bit depth.

It would be much more convenient like in the old win xp days, where it would be possible to sort all the files according to sample rate etc, but it works for the time beeing ;)
