Nebula Renderer & NRGUI user guides for Mac users

Postby Marchenoir » Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:03 pm

Hi there,

I looked for a user guide for Nebula Renderer & NRGUI on this site but couldn't find them.
I read that for PC users it's part of the NRGUI installation, but I'm a Mac user and with the download come only the two softwares (Nebula Renderer & NRGUI) but neither installer nor user guide.

Thanks for your help.

Hi :)

Osx NRGUI is basically the same as Win NRGUI, except program selector and additional NRGUI PRO features (preview etc.). You have to manualy enter desired program numbers, delimited by space (for example 200 500 238 111) - this goes to "Programs" entry box.

Concept of rendering is exactly the same as with Win version. You'll get an idea quickly, if you'll read through existing manual.

There will probably be a NRGUI manual for Mac OSX someday, but I think it may be a part of some major osx NRGUI update (no promises !!! :).

Sory for inconvenience !

Enjoy 8-)

You have to load Nebula plugin inside your DAW software, load desired program and remember program number visible on "PROG" page of the plugin (3 digit number). You'll have to do it for each desired program.

Hi Zabukowski,

Thank you for your answer !
Well, I figured out how NRGUI works but not Nebula Renderer on his own (does it do the same thing as NRGUI but within the DAW ?).

Oh, and by the way, no possibility to get the Win user guide as it's part of the installation and I can't install a Win software on my Mac.

Anyway, thanx for the great job and hope the OSX version will be updated (even without promises :) ).

NRGUI user guide:

Regarding renderer - it is a standalone program, not a plugin. NRGUI is a frontend, renderer is doing main job ;) You can read more about it in manual.

Hello,

I would like to use this great tool, but I have some issues with it..

-I have loaded nebularenderer file to Nrgui
-loaded the nebula reverb vst into Rrgui (wont load xml file)
-leave blank the additional parameters, and program template

-loaded a folder for the wav files
-suffix (I've tried -p, -u, (basically every one...)
-sample rate 4411
-loaded a program (215)

When I press nebulize, nothing happens...

and it says:

---

Nebula Renderer process started !

Crypt 1.3.395 (CoreII r0.1)

Allowed: -p, -u, -t, -l, -x, -d, -32, -q, -z, -r
Memory allocated: 0
Memory error: 0
elapsed: 0.001492

Nebula Renderer finished !

---

What am I missing here? Thanks for your help.

Everything is OK, except:

1. put -R into Additional Parameters (Settings). This is required and shouldn't be changed.

2. suffix value is added to the final rendered file names (REPLACE will replace old files with the new ones)

I think it will work then ;)
