NebulaMan / Setups Mac OSX support

Additional software tools

Finally I decided to upgrade (from Neb Server 1.3.505 to 1.3.636).
I hesitated since I've got more than 30 Nebula configurations and tweaking all the XLM didn't make me shout for joy. :D LoL

The system seems faster than I thought. :)

I didn't understand one thing. Here we go with what I did:
1. I created the first Nebula setup called "480L_TUN";
2. I closed the "480L_TUN project" and I created a new setup called "AcusticaAudio";
3. I closed the "AcusticaAudio project" and I created a new setup called "Bricasti M7_ANI". At this one I added the XLM tweak, rate conversion 9000000.

So far so good.

Then, to understand the software better, I tweaked manually the file "Bricasti M7_ANI.XML" and put rate conversion to 4500000.

Then I opened Nebula Setups, I pressed "M" so I got the Setups Manager window. I recreated all the selected setups (of course Nebula Plugin Configuration .vst and Use Tweaks were checked). I got the message that everything was updated.

Doing that leaves the rate conversion that I tweaked manually to 4500000. I thought it would be back again to the 9000000 value, but it doesn't happen.
If I open the Bricasti M7_ANI setups by itself and I save it again (without chaining anything else) the rate conversion go back to 90000000.

When I recreated all the selected setup shouldn't Nebula Setups overwrite all the XML tweaks? Or once I started using Nebula Setups I should tweak XML files manually anymore?

EDIT:
Version 2 RC 1 (x86)
OS X 10.8.5
Nebula Server 1.3.636

Looks like a bug to me :(. I'll check it out ASAP.

edit: definitively a bug, can't believe this one was not seen before :/

edit: the fix is in the works!

Thanks!

I should beta testing one day! :D

Thanks Zab! Let me now how it goes, so I'll test it with the new NebulaUpgrade which is on the way if I'm not mistaken. :)

It works perfectly now, already tested it.

it's the first Nebula Setupts x64 version I installed and, as you wrote in the text file, it worked without problems.

Last question: so far (and I mean before using Nebula Setups 2) I've always kept copies of my Nebula configurations simply copying them (just the .vst and the .xml). Now with Nebula Setups I found a new folder at this path /Library/Audio/Presets/AcusticaAudio/Nebula3/Setups. Is there anything else I should know to keep backups, or there are just:
- .vst;
- .XML;
- all the .XML files generated from Nebula Setups 2?

If you want to be safe, you should look into the Nebula Setups common folder:

Windows 7 - c:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Zabukowski\Nebula Setups\
Windows XP - c:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\
Mac OSX - /users/{username}/library/Application Support/Zabukowski/Nebula Setups

Each tracked setup is stored there, so even if you completely remove and install Nebula from scratch, Nebula Setups can rebuild all your setups from this folder.

No real need to backup /Library/Audio/Presets/AcusticaAudio/Nebula3/Setups folder, because it contains only files installed by Nebula and automatically generated setup files.

Of course, if you manually edit base Nebula XML files in vst folder, your should backup them as well.

Hope it helps!
