Because of the Nebula Set-ups program high popularity and strong demand for the Mac OSX version, i've started to think about major overhaul of the program.
I will have to build it from scratch (using the same multiplatform development framework as with NebulaMan). Unfortunately, direct port of the existing Set-ups program is not possible, because it was developed with Windows only tools.
There is already a bunch of ideas for the new features - very excited about them. Existing Set-ups program will continue to be supported.
So here are a few questions - your answers will help me to make right decisions in future stages of design, development etc. Unfortunately, development will take a lot of time, so i guess 2.0 will not be freeware.
If you are interested in Nebula Set-ups 2.0 program, please answer questions below.
1. Do you think that 2.0 upgrade is needed at all? 2. Which features do you miss in the existing version? 3. What do you think about an idea to have Nebula Set-ups 2.0 integrated into NebulaMan? 4. Would you pay for Nebula Set-ups 2.0 program? 5. If yes, how much would you pay for it - what price would be reasonable for you (range from/to)
Thank you for your answers and support. Zabukowski
I can't answer question n° 1 and 2 since I can't use pc lately due to my new location. I'd like to, but there it is.
1. 2. 3. I'd prefer to keep things separate, but it will not a problem anyway, not at all, just a personal preference. 4. Yes, I will, of course I'm talking about the mac version. 5. Same price of NebulaMan?
I mean, Nebula Man is such a great software by itself, you deserve to be paid more, I think, for sure more than free!
I would definitely pay for this software, and I trust you to set the price fairly. I do not think it should be integrated with nebulaman, but that is because as a Reaper user, Nebulaman is not a valuable tool for me since Reaper already excels at batch processing. I think that these questions are going to yield wildly diverse answers based on all of us user's specific and selfish needs! Good luck making decisions!! I don't miss anything in the current version either, but I would still purchase an upgrade out of respect (as long as the upgrade is not a downgrade for my needs!!)
