The way to locate a program by typing in part of the name is brilliant. I wish Nebula would incorporate that. It's odd that browsing programs is easier in the NRGUI than in the actual Nebula plug-in.

Having trouble to start NRGUI Pro. After saving the dir. for Aqua XML and Nebula Reverb.dll Nothing happens when I try to start NRGUI Pro. 100% CPU and I can see NRGUI proces in taskmanager.
Maybe my laptop manage requirements.
I'm gonna use the program on my Studio PC which will manage the requirements without problems, but right now I try to use it on my laptop.
Why doesn't the program start?
Spec: Sony Vaio VGN295 VP
CPU: pentium M 1,73 Ghz
RAM 1,5

User Vando reported the same problem on the previous page of this thread (program stalled at startup). By his words, problem was caused by wrong NRGUI ACQUA settings - I couldn't reproduce the problem on any of my machines.

Please re-check your settings or delete nrgui.ini and reenter setting again.

Please try Nrgui 1.3 (1.4) - is it working ?
Do you have ASIO driver installed ? It is required for PRO version !

Which windows are you runnning ?

It is also recommended to have latest Nebula version installed.

EDIT:
I've made some further investigation 8-)
If XML file used for ACQUA is somehow wrong (let's say it contains wrong datapath), it WILL cause NRGUI to stall at startup. NRGUI uses ACQUA library for communicating with NEBULA, so XML file must be correct - it is recommended to use the same nebula reverb.xml as it is used for Nebula plugin)

OK, great, that you've found it :D

I will put this in the new version of User Guide under Troubleshooting - now it is official:

"Selecting wrong or inappropriate XML file for ACQUA config (NRGUI settings) will cause NRGUI to stall/freeze at startup".

Thanks !

Zabukowski

I'm having issues with Rapidshare. It claims I'm already downloading a file. I have plenty of web space. Would you like me to help you host NRGUI?
