Would it make sense to have the sine-tone sweep through the spectrum with a rate that was inverse-exponential?
Using a 60 second long sweep: Currently it spends about 28 seconds going from 0Hz-100Hz, but only about 15 seconds going from 1kHz-10kHz.
Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't it be more efficient to spend the same time per Hz through the entire sweep?
I'm guessing the 28 seconds between 0-100 Hz vs the 15 seconds between 1000-10000 Hz is putting much more resolution in the low frequency area, which would be better to have in the higher frequency?
Or maybe not per Hz, but at least per section on the logarithmic scale (same time for 1-100 Hz as for 1000-10000 Hz. Currently it spends double the time sweeping through 1-100 as it does sweeping through 1000-10000)
