Nat Virgin and Bootcamp

Postby zaminx » Thu Apr 08, 2010 9:43 pm

Im using Nebula Pro 3 on Mac OSX with Cubase at the minute and love it.

here's the thing I have a lot of nice outboard that I would like to start sampling.Currently Nat only works in Windows so ]I thought I should look into setting up a Bootcamp partition
but Im not sure what Windows OS to use so some help here would be cool.

the windows you like most. Nat works pretty well in xp, vista and 7, 32 or 64 bit. Actually nat is 32 bits only. I released a 64 bit utility to betatesters, so they are able to deconvolve using a 64 bit application.

Well Ive finally managed to get XP installed and working the whole ordeal had me pulling my hair out.

I suppose the next step is to download Nebula Pro3 bundle and install and get it registered.

I was planning on starting of with sample a Phoenix Audio Nice DI which is a great sounding unit for the 2 Buss and well making anything sounding Nice.

Does Nat have a manual and are there any help videos?

Thx

Hi Zaminx,

I've never used NAT myself but there is a PDF file named NAT3 - QUICK START.pdf located in your C:\nebulatemprepository\Documents.

There is also a youtube vid here:

Good luck and can't wait to hear the results of your sampling session! 8-)

Well I have Windows and the Audio Hardware and Nebula and Nat setup.

Ive read through the Nat quick start and it mentions downloading more session templates.Ive not been able to find them so maybe they are not ehre on the new site yet.

Anyway I think Im gonna need a Bit of help getting the Phoenix nice DI sampled.

Ok found the Nat v4 session templates
I put the folder in the Nat folder I guess this is correct

I noticed some session templates say TEST what are these?

Anyway with any luck I will pop my Nat cherry this week
I was thinking of starting with a nice snare reverb of my sony R7.

Then if that is a sucesss I will look into a 5 or 7 kernal Pre

Okay Poped my Nat cherry but the reverb seems to be only Mono

When I open the prgram in Nebula there is only a left input.
When I was sampling in Nat there was Stereo input and Output showing.

Anyone have any ideas?

which session did you use? for "mono" do you mean "a single channel out", for example left only?
