A pre-valved with Volume Control of output FREE

Postby Mimi » Tue Oct 19, 2010 4:48 am

I was in my homestudio and decided to take the Nat3 to make a pre tube, very old...It was made in 1971.
Not a masterpiece of engineering, was made to record some "cuicas" and "surdos" of samba and in "cavaco" was very effective.
Its use here in the studio is, to recording of surdos, kicks and all bass percussion.
Maybe find some more utility for this library.
I used cables and plugs "Santo angelo" What are the best in Brazil.
And, plugs P10 Gold plated which is widely used here .
The interfece was my digi003Mixer.
This pre not XLR inputs and outputs,Are P10 I did the stereo inputs and outputs that are factory.
I put a control Gain, of output, In one of the presets.
are two in total, and the other is traditional pre.
in hardware the gain entry is fixed possessing only a gain of output.
He is too old and faded your box is wood costs on average $ 250 dolares.
Although the price is worth it.

Hi Mimi,

Thank you so much for sharing that preset. I've already downloaded it but didn't have time yet to try it on different sources.

I'll let you know what I think of it later...

Thank Ericius...
I'll do next time a pre-valved with controlling for "age"... With four changes of slew rate and harmonic drive.
With that you configure sounds of the 40s even the most modern, it is made in Brazil and not exist anywhere in the world.
I'll get time to withdraw it from my rack And start the sampling.
His name is hotsound vt4000 of a giant national called hotsound.
A big hug my friend.

What is mine is the four-channel...
It has two valves per channel and control over them.
I leave here the diagram for all is one of the best preamps I've ever had...I owned a A****n 747 and decided to sell once acquired this wild lion, which has a diverse sound And an absurd quality... Its construction is clean ensuring reliability... the first-class components do not get behind of M****y, A****n and other. They are used to P.A of parades Carnival which are on DVD,because of their heavy sound, strong with 130 dB dynamic range.
A big hug.

Thanks himhui...
And appreciate the attention, I am very pleased that divide the little things we can do.
It is a pleasure, and a joy... I will make this new pre-amp,with love, when finished the dance remix, of a beautiful song my favorite artist, BiRain of Korea,I love the music he does. In Brazil does not play in Radios, I do remix to play in the main clubs in the country. I do not understand Koreano more his music is too good.
Hope you all enjoy the present.

Mimi, I thank you very much for this wonderful preamp!... I have tried it on several tracks and on the mix bus, and I loved it.

It is easily one of my favorite coloring box in Nebula. It is VERY colored and brings that warm, 50's sound. I think the MIMIPRESONGS sounds better than the MIMIPRE. When used in stereo, you have to switch Nebula in "stereo" mode (Kern page), or the right channel will behave in a strange way. Also, I prefer to set the "gain" pot @ 0dB (in VST plug-in analyser, I noticed this is the spot where the THD is at its peak, too). I usually leave the Drive pot @ 0dB, too. Then you have to compensate for gain at the plug-in output.

This Nebula Pre is exactly the sound I was after and could not find anywhere else (not even the Bogen Tube Mixer is as good at warming tracks in the low-mid region).

I think everyone should try this !
