Getting Started...

Postby Black Sunshine » Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:13 pm

Hi, I am new but very interested in this product. So I have a few questions..

1. Can anybody please give me a quck run thru of the amp sampling process?

2. Can anybody give me a breakdown on sampling a rack multi effects unit? I have one that I really like, but I am having a hard time comprehending that process.

3. Is it possible to reskin NAT 3 to look look like a Marshall, No offense , but a good interface really makes a difference.

4. Where can I find a list of features for Nebula? Some type of manual would be great.

Anyway please let me know, because I am interesed in buying Nebula.
Regards,

Hello Black Sunshine

1. Can anybody please give me a quck run thru of the amp sampling process?

Sampling is done in NAT: Sampling > Deconvolving > EP creation > key creation > Release. Deconvolution can be done online or offline.

2. Can anybody give me a breakdown on sampling a rack multi effects unit? I have one that I really like, but I am having a hard time comprehending that process.

Time variant FX are handle with small kernels through AA vectorial engine, I don't have to much know knowledge in that topic.

3. Is it possible to reskin NAT 3 to look look like a Marshall, No offense , but a good interface really makes a difference.

Yes, we call Acqua Engine, that is a Nebula EP with a custom GUI and running under COREII Nebula audio engine but looks like a normal alone VST plugin > http://www.acustica-audio.com/index.php ... Itemid=153

4. Where can I find a list of features for Nebula? Some type of manual would be great.

Donwload Nebula3FREE and read the user manual, plus read this: http://www.acustica-audio.com/index.php ... Itemid=147 and this: http://www.acustica-audio.com/forum/ind ... =viewtopic

You ask something about NAT GUI, but I think you are talking about release emulation preset with a custom GUI, that is Acqua Engine and AcquaVox is the first Acqua Engine based VST plugin.

Same question. I want to sample the presets of my TC Fireworx.
Of course depending of the kind of effects used in a preset it's doable or not.
By the way i'm not sure that a dynamic capture is useful for a digital equipment but why not.
So what are the effects that i can't catch? (so i avoid these presets)
Is there tips and tricks to know or document for each effect before sampling?

first of all: thanks for answer
I would like to sample a guitar amp, i have gain knob, bass knob, mediums knob and high knob (the three lasts are the ecualizer of the amp)
1-I would like to know step by step, the metodology for taking each step sample ( i have doubts regarding the movement of the knobs and the play of the test tone)and the diference between offline and online?
2-by the way nat free does not reconize digidesign pro tools, and on the other hand I would like to know if I can run nebula as rtas plug in in pro tools (if I need a vst to rtas adapter I would like to know which is working best)thanks
