I saw that Nebula now has the ability to disable category truncation, which is great news for me. I've added the NOCATEGORYTRUNCATION code to my XML file, but when I edited my program's category names in NAT - for example, replacing "PED" with "Pedal" - and opened them in Nebula, the names were truncated again.
So, I opened them in NAT again, edited them again, and saved them. Then, without loading them in Nebula, I opened them again, and the category names were truncated. So it looks like the truncation is happening on the NAT end. Is there any way to disable this in the settings?
The truncation was from 4 to 3 characters IIRC... so more than 4 you will never see, and as giancarlo said: It's highly advised _against_ using 4 characters instead of 3, because of new internal design / reasons .
yes if you need longer names use the "dictionary" feature Categories are uniformed to 3 characters because backward compatibility - users sometimes load ancient nebulas somewhere. So we forced it to 3 characters
