In the link below you can download 3 presets from a 351 tape emulation. You can use the input levels to control the harmonic distortion (take care not to overload Nebula). Flutter, delay and noise were not sampled. The presets sound quite different from the original emulation (some would say better ) probably because Nebula captured only part of the distortion.
Yes indeed. I was surprised how different the presets sound when compared to the original. Nebula sounds much smoother. Perhaps to make the best comparison you need to run the original emulation much softer.. can't say for sure.
Your welcome. I made a lot of experiments with frequency depended saturation. It's kind of tricky because you have to make sure there are no odd phase shifts or radical changes to the spectrum (like many vst enhancers introduce). After I finish testing my preamp & console presets I'll try to make some new bass saturation effects.
