Nebula feature suggestions

API2500 lobby !

Postby EricH » Tue Mar 13, 2012 7:05 pm

I invite people to support the creation of a A*I 2500 bus compressor for Nebula, reknown for it's euphony of a simple audio pass through, surely a perfect candidate for Nebulization at 96kHz with many kernels. It would be a great addition. Sign here today......

Its a cool idea in principle but I dunno man - Id rather lobby for other things...and use Waves A*I + Alex B A*I Pre Amp program...Im just not convinced by Nebula compressors. the 2500 is also quite deep with many options - so it would be a big project.

I might be interested in the Bricasti M7 lobby, and more saturation/colour tools like Cupwise Casspressors...

You are right, I never use Nebula for actual compression I find it completely uncontrollable and close to useless. Preferring actual analogue first and digital DSP second, or both. But for qualities other than this, that Nebula is actually good at it would be perfect including the revered 2520 opamp signature for example.I believe there is demand, although it appears not judging by the replies. The last thing I require in audio production is a compact cassette emulation. Why emulate something that sucked in reality? It is like Nebulizing an Alesis 3630 or worse.

haha-quick turnaround! ;) yes I agree. I prefer to use analogue compression now for important bits...I agree people tell me the 2500 tone is nice...

I dont think its a basic cassette-and not for the master...but anyway - its more about getting colour into the box...taking away the sterility...

Very nice they are too.
I use the Liquid mix Us Classic discrete comp a bit & liked the waves version. would pay for erics 2500, if he does one

Alex B stated somewhere that he`s going to sample A*I comps in the near future.. He`s now doing the CL1B and then maybe APIs.. so.. 2 to 3 months and we`re there!

Blasphemy!!!!
:D

My most used programs ever, are Cupwise's casettes!

If youre into sound design, or after a certain oldschool sound, you cannot achieve it better. (except for real cassettes)
