In computer storage, fragmentation is a phenomenon in which storage space is used inefficiently, reducing storage capacity and in most cases performance. The term is also used to denote the wasted space itself.
NOTE: On x64 OSs fragmentation still happens but is less obvious due the OS can see more RAM.

Reaper will close when you use all your RAM. I have been trying to find this out for ages because it just shuts down and I thought nebula was crashing it.
If you look at the FREE RAM in windows task manager you can watch it go down to zero and then reaper closes.
The problem is that Nebula doesn't seem to release the RAM after you remove the plugins from your project (just to be clear I don't mean remove DLL but just unload some instances of nebula from your inserts)... the FREE Ram does not go back up but stays the same.
I then have to restart windows, reload Reaper and then the FREE RAM is higher and I can load more instances of Nebula!
This obviously is a big problem. I am starting a new thread for this if your are interested...
Forthcoming releases on: Black Heart Label, Hyperdrive and Transfixion. http://soundcloud.com/100mg. 6 FREE Downloads on my soundcloud page. Nebula ALL over these trax!
I had no time to check that log-thingy today, but again GUI disappeared. And I'm quite sure there's not much Nebula or other RAM-hungry plugs in my sessions. I have about 3,5gigs of available RAM and my XP is a very cut down version, RAM usage alltogether with empty session in Reaper is about 500mb or under.
I'll check tomorrow when I have more time, but this is a bit shameful bug (IF it's a bug), I'd rather use Nebula than other plugs. Especially for compressor, Dramwer 1968 rules!!!
