Reaper/Nebula - Now another crash scenario

Postby RJHollins » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:04 am

Man this is getting tough :?

Tonite I load a single Nebula instance into Reaper to do an volume edit to one of Henry's 'early' libs.

Music running, I click edit, go to Glob page, and adjust pad level. fine

Now I click exit ... and Reaper goes into digital runaway !!! Nebula crashes [no error message].

I didn't have to try to hard to cause the same crash the second time I tested this. :| Massive audio stuttering ... crash [no message].

I'm going to try and attach the Nebula log here.

What is going on here :o :(

Does the problem occurs since 4.22 or do you had the problem before ?

Hi elam,

hmm, not sure what 4.22 is ?

Honestly, this was my first time editing a released library

As to when issued started ... it seems when I upgraded from Neb-pro-3 to the Server edition. Now there might have been an upgrade since ...

There is still the GUI issue that has the numeric display scrambled [under the faders]

AND

on the other side ... NAT has issues since the upgrade.

The only other changes ... the addition of more libs 8-)

Please. Delete first your Nebula .LOG file before send us a crash/issue report. Nebula .LOG file is a cumulative file.

There is still the GUI issue that has the numeric display scrambled [under the faders]

Already reported

on the other side ... NAT has issues since the upgrade.

Sorry,"4.22" is the last Reaper version.

Not to hijack your thread but I too got a serious Nebula performance problem since a couple of weeks.

No crashes, but I can't open as many instances as I used to.

Not sure what's the problem is.(Reaper ? Nebula ? New OS ?)

Back to your issue.Good luck.

Hi elam,

ah, yes ... Reaper 4.22 [I should have known that].

After a solid year of design and building the new control room, I've been in 'test mode' evaluating the new room ... been pushing really hard on that last remaining brain cell

I bought Reaper when it crossed into v4 territory. I believe I had 1 or 2 upgrades to 4.22 [seemed there was an closely spaced release]. 4.22 has been it for a couple months ... and that is when I began testing for multi-trk use.

Right now I'm getting ready to see if I can crash Reaper according to Enrique's instructions, so as to provide manageable crash dumps for analysis :|

Always good to hear from you elam ... wished I could provide help to your issue.

Sincerely.
