Midi playback problem - Solved

Postby misterambient » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:07 pm

Hi there I have a problem playing back midi when loading more than 2 or 3 instances of Nebula. Audio is unaffected. CPU meter barely touched, lots of free RAM. Something to do with latency maybe? I am working in a 64 bit environment, and it happens both in 44.1 and in 96 kHz.

Lowering the dspbuffer to 2048 did the trick! This means less Nebula instances, even on my i7 970... And rendering/freezing of course... It's getting used to a different kind of workflow I suppose. Have to experiment with the settings for very fast midi. Next challenge is getting rid of the latency! 8-)

Suggestions to be able to load more instances in a session (with 12 busses that I cannot freeze) without sacrificing audio quality are welcome.
