How much better 3rd party eq's?

Postby Martinez » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:19 am

Hi I was just wanting to know how better the 3rd party eq's are than the ones that come as part of the standard Nebula libraries?

I'm looking at buying something for mixing.

Cheers!

I wondered the same thing myself. I thought already that the stock Nebula eqs were better than anything I had.

Just grab the demos and you'll see. They are on another level.

Hints :analoginthebox.com and alessandroboschi.eu

Every single eq these guys have released is of top quality. Analog in the box are sampled at 44.1 and AlexB at 96. I mix at 44.1 so I favour those (don't like long loading time when conversion is involved), but both are top notch. I use 96 ones in mastering frequently, though.

I have measured the diffrence and i can say that it's exactly 13.9% better at the mids, 26.3% at the Treble range and 41.7% at the Bass Range.

so my conclusion is that in any way you get a very noticable improvement in your sound.

go 3D~!

AND CDsoundmaster and you got the preamp too when you buy those.

AND others (Trancending/Nebula.program/etc...).

I think it depends on what type of "color" or what you want to use them for.

Try, try, try (in context and not) and use your ears.Always judge by yourself.

Those were my personal suggestions. It's easy to mention everybody and I appreciate the big effort devs make to sample, but these are my preferences (I have enough stuff from others too fwiw).
