Just bought it, the registration and download process has been hassle free (I feel lucky ;) ).

I must say wow !This thing is fascinating ! Two faders and a new world of possibilities. Not to mention the room sounds amazingly good, much MUCH better than any impulse of real space I've heard before !
When you start to put different sources in the space it just sounds too real ! I feel like Frankenstein, bringing life to a flat drum closed mike.

Best 12 euros ever spent. A big thanks to Room Hunters !

Although I'm currently in the building process of a new mastering/mix control room ... I had to grab this new library.

Look forward to hearing it in the new room :D

played around a little today with a mouthbox-recording, i have to mix in january.
i just needed early reflections, to make the mouthbox punchy and to place it further away from the listener.

got some great results with the lm84 program as insert.
tuned the kernel-length of the first kernel down to 150 ms and the fade of it, around 50 ms.
great punch and a good sense of space around the voice!!!
with the distance parameter i can place it near or far, as i like.
this is fun and will make the mixing so much easier. :D

Do you guys use this as an insert or as an aux send?

It is advised to insert unless you are going to use all the same distance and angle with different tracks.

I think this is a really interesting library. For me, Nebula is pretty much the holy grail for reverbs and this library certainly adds to this. It's ability to
place an instrument in an acoustic space and the spatial effect are great.

BTW, RH people, any chance of adding a binaural mic in future ? I'd love to hear some HRTF type panning in a real acoustic space.

cheers
Pete

It's cool to see some dudes experimenting with the TOL ! Nice idea to use it as an ER program.

Indeed, the usual way to use it is as an insert. It's very different from a traditional reverb.
If you want to use it as an aux. You should create a stereo aux track with two instances of the TOL. (please refer to the mock up joined to this post)
The left instance to angle max left and the depth to full depth. The right instance to angle max right and depth to full depth.
This way the behavior of the aux will be true stereo, and the reverberation field will have more weight than the direct sound.
We will add this info to the manual.

Thaks pete for the audio demos ! It's a good idea to add binaural mic for further release. We will also add a blumlein pair.

We know what you mean. We also finished our new control room, and made the final tests there. We had a great smile on our face ;)
