The demo seems impossible to download. I've tried numerous times on an ultra high speed connection and it always seems to cut out half way through.

These are huge programs. I can only use them if I work at the programs sample rate i.e. 44.1kHz. At 48kHz I can load 1 instance and none at 96kHz. (q6600, xp32)

Hello,

I'm really sorry I didn't answered sooner, I was away for some time, I should have mentioned this somewhere/somehow ....

About your issue : an up to date and correctly registred Nebula, should work whithout problem. Nobody reported any problem.

The issue may be a RAM usage issue as suggested by MPlay. You should have something like 700/800 Mb of Free RAM to load it properly. It's the reason we strongly suggest Nebula CORE II Pro x64 in the manual.

What are you system specs ( x86/x64 , how much ram ? )
Try to load the program on a blank project to see if it works.

Latest Nebula Server with memory sharing, is very good news for those programs : you can load 12 times the program for drum processing for the RAM usage of only one.

I am again, truely sorry about this late reply. Let me know if I can help further.

EDIT : English improvements ...

If I work in 48000 and use this as an insert then I'll loose some audio quality since this library is sampled in 44100.

Then it would be better to use this as an aux send so that I have 48k quality on one signal (the direct one) and 44k on the send, correct?

Are you planning to re-sample in a higher quality (48k / 96k)?

Dear MrLove, (I love that nick)

The Library is converted by internal nebula Sample Rate Conversion during the loading. If your RateCNV value is high enough, the conversion should be good.

The main reason of loss of quality will come from the lack of frequencies above 44.1/2 and under 48/2n which might not be very revelant (and then it's the classical 44.1 / 48 discussion) .

And for your information, every nat templates are configured to go up to 20 Khz (the sine sweep goes from 0hz to 20 Khz, exactly). I don't think there is any nebula program processing frequencies above 20 Khz .

If a 3rd party developer know he had made a nat sampling with a sweep from 0 hz to 40 Khz, or believe my statement is not true, please correct me.

I don't feel an obvious loss of quality using the nebula SRC, once Rate CNV is well configured. Most of nebula libraries are either 44.1 Khz / 96 Khz. If you don't feel a loss of quality using others library, you shouldn't feel it with the TOL too. But the TOL (like VNXT plate) have long kernel, so they need a higher RateCNV value to be well converted.

If your RateCNV value is well configured, I'll be very interested to hear some exemples of loss of quality beetween 44.1 and 48.

But I agree with you, using same samplerate beetween project and nebula is of course the best way to do.

MrLove wrote:Are you planning to re-sample in a higher quality (48k / 96k)?

No, we won't sample it again, sorry.

We did sample @ 44.1 because :

1) Ram usage is lower
2) 44.1 is still the most used samplerate
3) We had no time to sample it twice.

Some of our future release will be 44.1 + 96.

Good Love!
