I went through all the models quickly- this is a very nice collection.

I'm not at all surprised that I liked the a512 so much, but others, like the NMAN472 and the Portiko are surprisingly really nice sounding (something about that NMAN that just sounds like a record).

Really dig this collection- I always have liked the original but this is quite an upgrade.

Does this library make a noticeable difference? The preamp libraries from the past have always been very subtle!

One thing you must try when using these preamps is using them on drums .The wide freq range will give you more of a clue of what the preamp is doing to the sound.
It's much less subtle you'll see!!

Some of them are subtler than others. Fchild is the most colored followed by Twinvalve and THD programs.

Can you post a sample ?

Mercado's sample are (to my ears) too subtle (as was the original pcs  - again, to MY ears)

Maybe someone can post samples with audio content that will make pcs-pro shine ?

Thanks

Too subtle... My fault ! I've forgotten to sample Marshall and Mesa Boogie :?

(sorry, can't resist)

Alex B does it again. After a quick test of the demo I bought this immediately. The quality is world class as usual.

Naturally they are subtle. These are preamp colors, not Big Muff distortion boxes. Depending on your monitors/converters/room acoustics/ear sensitivity they may be more or less apparent to you. For me this collection is a great tonal palette to have for mixdown.

Another excellent library. Thanks Alex.

Those samples I uploaded are far from being subtle. You can clearly hear the differences (even on headphones). High-End preamps are not supposed to change your sound dramatically, in this case you can hear the tonal changes across the spectrum due to components BUT in the case of the FatZu or the THD these changes are pretty obvious because these units add something else to your material (tape/tranny or harmonic distortion).

Cheers
