Nebula phasers ?

Postby Formbank » Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:11 am

Apologies if I've posted this message in the wrong thread.

Was playing around with the phasers in the TMV section of the commercial library and quite liked some of them. I wonder if anyone has sampled other phasers (or was
planning on doing so) ? I had an ancient Boss phaser years ago and I haven't heard a software phaser that replicates its sound.

To me, there's something about the sound of a 'real' phaser which is still very endearing after all the advances in signal processing and music technology.

cheers !

The Original Vintage MXR 90 (not the reissue) I think it's the best phaser. It will be released in future in the GTR-Suite. 8-)

Yes, I played around with a MXR 90 back in the day and it was very good.

What is the 'GTR-suite' ? I look forward to hearing about it.

cheers

I have a clone of the original MXR 90 and I have the E-H electric mistress (great flanger). But TMV seems so hard to sample. If I figure it out I'll release it here for free.

The phaser I was referring to was actually a Roland one , not a Boss one. It was the AP-2 Phase II.

Here's a video of someone using one:

'Stolle' cool to hear !

i have a highly sought after phaser in my vintage Ibanez UE400 multi-fx.

I have asked for help in the forums to sample it, but got no reply.

I did some tests long ago with a tremolo but it was really hard to get it right. We need a good tutorial for TMV.
