Well ofc you need a good signal chain/recording before inserting it :)

You can not record a song with your mbox 2 and suddenly turn it into "the sound of pink floyd" with this console. But it will hopefully make an already good sounding song even better.

Jist to clarify:

it is not the E*I mixing tube console but the N*****n Mastering Console SP75 equiped with N*****n (all solid state) W495STB equalizers and filters. Both are used to mixing and mastering the Pink Floyd albums.

What is the recommended placement of this in the chain relative to the consoles?

Something like this?

[MWC Master Bus]->[Mastering Console Input]->[Mastering Console EQ]->[Mastering Console Bus]

Yes. But it's better to do a separate mastering session from the mixing session. So:
[Mastering Console Input]->[Mastering Console EQ]->[Mastering Console Bus]->[(good)Digital plugin limiter]
