First impressions with the demo: it rounds transients very pleasantly, makes the sound thick and adds tons of character. It's more a sound shaper than a compressor, in my opinion. Its release times settings make it a great tool to round stuff up in busses (400 ms is pretty good for that, too bad the auto setting can't be properly emulated at this point). Extremely good for parallel compression on drums using a second track and squashing the hell out of it (-7dB or -9dB of GR with the demo).
On the list!
i7 3770k :: Asus P8H77-V LE :: 16Gb DDR3 @1600MHz :: Geforce GT 520 :: OCZ-Vertex 128Gb :: WD Black Series 1Tb and Green Series 1Tb :: F*******e Liquid56 :: REAPER 64bit and StudioOne 64bit (both latest versions) :: Win 10 64bit
try 75.5/76 bpm and 151/152 bpm with the compressor at 400 or limiter 200 release on drums! this should get it 'sucking' up just before the next hit slams in. sounds rather magic i think... let me know if my timing is off
Something interesting is happening right now on some vocals. Fate Compressor DEMO, Reduction 2 to 2.50db.. I'm Happy
Just tried the demo and it sounds really fantastic. Best comp EVER! It has the same fat character I admired so much about the Fate EQ.
Thanks, comments like that make me really happy. I am glad that users experience the same as I did listen to the first samples. Finally we have a compressor sounding very different to many other, lifeless software plugins. It's sad I can't create a nice emulation of 1176, LA2A, S*L G series bus compressor and many more goodies that are waiting here to be sampled. Nebula is not ready for them yet. If you did not listen to the examples I posted on youtube yet, compare this one to the V-Compressor... It's incredible!
Hi guys, If we buy this in the 44.1khz version will the upgrade to 96khz when it's out be free or cost more like the Mammoth expansion pack? Thanks Mark
96KHz versions will be free to existing users. We will deliver patches (for PC). Mac users have to download the complete release again. We start testing first 96KHz programs this weekend.
Just one note to users without Nebula3PRO: Give the demo a try! It sill sounds beatiful in those versions as well!
