12AX7A!!!!

Postby geedy » Sun Mar 11, 2012 4:46 pm

Before I started using nebula I tried the Nebula CM from computer music and was using the 12ax7a tube.. Now once I actually bought Nebula it was nowhere to be found???? Where can I get this tube emulation from? I was thinking is might be in the Modern Tube Console that Alex B has but I wanted to double check to make sure.. And if it is in there I wanted to know if those tubes were anything like this: http://www.12ax7a.com/

i think that it was one of the freebies from CDSM vintage tube collection.
maybe you can get it as free demo program on his website.

There are different tubes available in the
Vintage tube collection, each with their own
subtle and sometimes less subtle character.
Don't expect any high gain distortion or drive
from this collection as Nebula is not yet capable
of huge amounts of distortion.

the website you posted is about real tubes, not software.
i did not read deeper in ....

the vintage tube collection is not a console or an amp-simulation, it is a tubestage with different tube options. you can combine it with other programs or effects, to form something you like. the distortion character is moderate, as always with nebula at the moment.
i often mix it with compressors, hall-plugins, ...

i would suggest to read the manual from CDSM, it is on the site i posted above.

Yea I know what I posted was about real tubes but the website describes the characteristics of each tube.. I just wanted to know if those tubes were sampled in his collection..
