Unfortunately is not my own console.
This winter a techno producer has asked me to build a console with his vintage 1081 modules. Than I have recapped and refurbished the units, improved the power supply and built the summing-amp module with the vintage N**e circuit modifyed for the right impedance, custom panners and level controls, VU meter and monitor out.

It's not an "easy" tool but if you learn how to use it then you'll be impressed

Amazing job Alex! What an eq!! Lot of bands, very flexible and nice colour. I see myself eqing a snare with s81, kick with VBQ and OH with 1073 .. the drums are sounding stunning! Oh and the cuts are great too.

Taking about mixbuss, I feel that I´d use it for bussgroup more often than bussmaster. Do you agree Alex???

Greetings

Yes, you can use for both, bussgoup and mixbuss at your taste.
Originally the sidecar has been built for synth-vocal-guitars-drum submix and final mastering, but you can use for whatever you like.

Vintage SideCar81 audio demo in the Listening Room.

Please note that I have only processed the drum-submix leaving as the original ITB Mix the other tracks. This will give you the idea how this sidecar works. 8-)

interesting, sounds VERY punchy, much more than the VBC and even more than the MBC?

I think that it is an impression only, in reality it's normal since only the drums are processed, the other demoes are the whole mix processed with the console, so : more glue.
(I don't want to impress the people with fake overdriven demo as... console-wannabe-plugins which never come  )

Two different beast: classA vs ClassAB.
I spent some time to do the demo release, please download, compare and use your ears. What you like others don't like.... And so...

Very very good. Another kind of "amazing" - but that's always the case with stuff in nebula land ;-)
As someone said before, I particularly like the cuts !
But the boosts are incredible aswell.
Beautiful, round, still a different beast compared to the other Neve-stuff.
