New Distortion...soon

Postby TranscendingMusic » Wed Sep 15, 2010 3:46 am

Distortion flavor inspired by the Vu.1ture Cul.ture. This library behaves like its hardware counterpart, from frequency response to harmonic distortion. It can add weight and/or crazy character via 3 types of tubes: EF86 6AS6 and 12au7. Some critical gain staging was performed to prevent overloading at higher drive settings. Further adjustment can be done with input/ouput parameters. There will be an overall flavorof distortion preset and another that will have a "Bias" controland separate "Drive" control as well as the traditional drive. I'll have some tips posted when this is released.

And just today I was talking with my brother and wondering why noone has created a program/library from a Thermionic hardware. This looks and, by your explanations, sounds really cool. If you happen to own an Earlybird, it would be *awesome* to see it NEBULIZED! :D

Sick!!!

Well - if someone had a Thermionix Rooster - it has a 5 position 'Attitude' saturation setting which would be awesome to have captured...

Yeah I know we are getting greedy - Vulture is amazing!

In the meantime, for anybody interested, you can send me 30 second snippets of a mix or instrument track and I can process them through subtle, medium or heavier settings, your choice, if you'd like an idea of this preset. All genres welcome, in fact I would really appreciate different genres. Send me a PM
.
I'll get into more detail in getting the best out of this library, working in conjunction with other known tools at your disposal.

Well, I have a Phoenix MV but we have to wait for the compressor support to start sampling these beauties.
