Source file is a drumloop. I added some other EQs with the ability to do the same 18dB/oct HPF at 300Hz.
CLeQ and Waves S*L E-channel EQ are the blind test subjects. CLeQ: the full 3Kernels HPF preset is used. S*L E-channel EQ: dynamic bypassed, analog switch on. Equality: analog phase is used. Oxford EQ: in mode1 A,B are in almost the same loudness.
It's amazing with only one 18dB/oct 300Hz HPF could produce so many different sound with different EQs.
Have a guess and tell us why you prefer it. Answer will be announced 1 or 2 weeks later.
A lets through more bass than any other so it makes it hard to compare. I actually like B the most. It has a certain punch in the snare that I like. To my ears B has that classic AlexB punch in the snare so I'd guess it's Nebula. But I could be mistaken.
