I really hope we finally will see a compressor/engine update
which can catch those fast transients.
Love to hear some 'all buttons' distortion as well.

While people are hear can any of you hear slight distortion when using MWD? I was working with it a few nights ago and it sounded lovely on the mix bus but when i soloed a kick to do some work i started to hear distortion on the transient hit. I was using proper gain staging. Can someone else check this out?

as Sombody mentioned it's the high amount of gain reduction you can't get with nebula .

Nebula should be fast enough to emulate most hardware compressors?

@sfunk: there is distortion on the first
transient hit. Changing the smooth parameter
to PARDB or LINDB and patching with the compressor-patch
solves this. Using these tweaks worked
great for the 4KD.
Still no heavy gain reduction, unfortunately.
Will it be possible for Nebula to implement
proper gain reduction metering?

What is the "compressor-patcg"?
Is there any FAQ on how to setup nebula for compression? I seem to be awfully behind the curve :?

Check out this thread:

You can edit the smooth parameter in the EDIT/GLOB page.

Thanks for that. It seems to have fixed the distortion issue.

not really sure what you're describing here because PARAB is the default value in my original unchanged 4KD files?

Alex posted this on his facebook a few hours ago.....

"1st intensive test 4:1 .... Oh My God !!! :O"

... :? can`t find that on His facebook wall..last post is about releasing vinyliser (jan, 6th) Can someone confirm that compressor/transient update for Nebula is being worked on ...or Alex, can You please post any schedule of releases for sure? You have promised us 33609 in october.. I personally received email that 76D will be ready in January..well it`s 2012 february now...not much time left to the end of the world.. ;)

Anyway I`d love to wait few weeks IF there`s a reason why.. (better transient handling, "good" distortion in Slam mode.. and so on).. and as always I`ll buy the release the first day it`s out!
