Where did these programs come from? - The sound phatt!

I had the UAD 1176 on a kick, it made it sound 'farty' but I didn't realize until I tried this instead. Instant punch on my kick, straight through the mix!!!

And what the hell is mirco murder? Sounds like a pre amp?

Is there any more info on these programs please?

read the thread you are in from the beginning ;) :D

Hi, Yeah I have read it. I can't find info on NUKE or Micro Murder. I must of missed it. What page is it on?

I assume that micro murder is just the pre amp and nuke is all buttons in?

So when using this would you put micro murder first and then a compression program or just a compression program?

Thanks.

Hi Faun.

On the 1176 you can switch off the compression completely by turning the attack knob far left. When in this mode you drive the input up to get a lot of saturation.

That's what I tried to capture with the "murder" programs. Nebula/Nat couldn't reproduce the saturation amount but there was certainly some nice harmonic saturation happening. Subtle but nice.

When microkernels and more saturation kernels are finally out it should be interesting to try sampling the unit again.

great stuff thanks I'll give this a go, the 1176 emus I have (both the 'lite' UAD one and the Powercore one) are my goto comps for a lot of stuff, so I should like this too :D

Thanks, lordnielson!
I'm downloading now.

Short question: do I have to make a Nebula compressor.dll for these programs to work properly, described here?
