This 'dual instance' is very easy to accomplish with Plogue BIDULE [chainer] for example.

cool, will check this out, it's free?

No ... but they do have demos.

I don't mean to be ignorant or rude, but Is there any reason why I'd get this if I already have R2R and tape booster + ???
Thanks

^not rude at all! fair question in fact. the shortest response i can think of is that one only needs 1 eq to mix (provided they know how to use it). 1 compressor too. guitarists only need 1 guitar...until they don't. lol! that doesn't mean it isn't more interesting and, for that matter, fun to have access to more than the 1.

in short, no reason other than the reason you'd grab any given release i suppose... :)
ok, bye!!!

I also have use and like r2r and tape booster. A side from this being a different machine, the sampling process and quality has been updated. This is something i always consider with any library.

It's a different approach....

As far as I can tell no one is doing it this way.

Just like when I made charge based auto release in nebula, that tech is not available, I had to think outside the box to make it and make appropriate templates. I started that over years ago. I very rarely used standard templates for anything.

Hey Tim, what converters do you use if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking I read modified Mytek but I'm not sure.

Yes yes yes yes yes 8-) 8-) 8-) Amazing library Tim! In short: this makes your music sound like a record. Gives me the same satisfaction I had with the MFC from AlexB.

There's wide variances in 'tape' depending on the electronics/build/design of the tape machine, type of tape, maintenance history, alignment, head condition, track width (bigger is 'better'), running speed (eg: 7.5, 15 or 30 inches per second).. and a whole myriad of other variables..

Not to mention there's differences in how Nebula library developers approach things.

IMO the appearance of the '37J' is very exciting & interesting indeed. The original J37's were a top class machine from Studer with tube electronics and wide head width (in this case 4 track on 1 inch tape - conducive to nice drum sounds! ) which has holy grail status due to being the type of recorder used at Abbey Road on the legendary 60's Beatles recordings like Sgt Pepper's etc..

And on top of this, these machines are very rare & the 37J library may well have been made using the examples in the best condition in the world at the present time, in that they have been completely refurbished & restored to their original glory (!) ..
