The CDS TAPE libraries [along with the other 2 parts] are plain ... EXCELLENT.

Another CDSM recommendation here. The Ampex collection should be good with simple choices for multitrack and mixdown/mastering purposes. I have his R2R and tapebooster libraries and there are a ton of options. Once you find the flavor you like, it's straightforward. The tapebooster works on anything.

MM1000 should be great on channels, and ATR102 is the classic mixdown deck.

Also worth checking is Tim P's tape. I don't own this one but his demos sounded quite good if you're after that kind of saturation.

Yes, indeed, CDSM R2R and Apex - both gems. I prefer the Ampex ATR102 on mixdown as Brian mentioned above.

I also use them in Mastering [when appropriate].

Tim P's T-Tape is a 2-track tape recorder, for mixdown or mastering. He will probably release a Studer J37 library (4-track).

But I'm really in love with CDSM Apex Tape collection, specially the MM1100 for individual tracks, and the 440B for a more vintage mixdown sound.

Another +1, or rather +2, for CDSM R2R and APex. As there is no "best", I usually pick the Studer or the Otari (beautiful high end) or the ATR or the MM (stunning low end!!).

Sometimes a combo with TB Reelbus (just for saturation and emphasis) is just what the doctor ordered :)

another one:
rhythminmind NAG-Tape. sometimes it suits, sometimes not.

and yes, toneboosters reelbus for flexibility.
has some great options for masterbus duties.
system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox, tracktion6, reaper
system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6(32+64bit)

both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB

Okay the Ampex Collection looks to be what i'm going to grab, i use the free ATR on almost every record i do, but i must wait for the price reveal of the new Pink compressor before i make a decision. may be the last purchase i make for the year(newlywed)

I do have the TB Reelbus also and was using it before i fell back into the Nebula world
