I suppose it's not THE J37 from Abbey R, but no matter, it will probably be far better than the W***s
What kind of tape have you used ?

Well, waiting for a RS124 library to go along with, for that "Abbey R touch" !

Thanks! Ok so I just got back into the workshop! so I'll will continue today.

No matter how close I get on st* level there is one thing that will be great, it doesn't sound like its compressing too much when it actually is! Very exciting! rms levels seem to change quite a bit without hearing the compression to much.

Can't wait to hear your fine work on this library. Money is set aside ;)

Regarding J37 - do you find it's more of a vintage sound, less widely applicable across genres? More for tracking versus mixdown? Just curious as to your personal opinion.

Hope to get on with it, sorry for the wait! 8-)

I am assuming by the graph that you are going to have 4 seperate channels sampled. I think it's really nice to see the subtle differences in the eq curves to inform decisions on what tracks to use each channel on.

I was making the page and I didn't realise the page was in preview mode, so it's not actually released yet! So sorry about that!

Yes four channels. We managed to get it even more accurate now. The outside tracks have a slight increase in the upper range. Outside tracks are slightly more linear. In terms of sound, j37 is subtle and smooth, however if you use in multiple tracks it's quite apparent in colaration. One thing you hear is the ripple on the low end from tape gap Artifact. If you use two instances in a row you get a wobble of about 4db going from 50-70hz
