Looks interesting!

Slightly off topic - VST Analyzer:
- Does anyone know about a short explanation/tutorial about how to set up VST Analyzer with a Nebula plugin - like TimP has done in this mp4-video? I really want to check visually what different EQs do to understand more about what's going on. Thanks in advance!

This way works:

Install Nebula 32bit.
vst plugin -> load -> Nebula3Reverb.dll (32bit)
Measurement -> Frequency Response

I tried just one band today of that surge EQ Tim showed a few post ago and it's a mastering engineer's dream, a master piece. Mr Massenburg is definitely a genius with good taste for transparency, precision and smoothness, especially smoothness.

I liked Green EQ but never used it in a mastering session because I never felt it could give me something that bx_digitalV3 couldn't. This surge EQ can do it: smoothness.

I can't wait to hear the full library. I'm really excited about it.

mmmm .... Thanks Mercado for the early report.

I would really like to test this, but I guess there is only an audio sample available.

Look forward TimP ! :mrgreen:

Yep this library is sounding very different from anything I've made before. Also the alias filter from conversion at 44.1 is nearly non existent, a little like I did in dual tech, simply means it's very transparent, also higher rates are improved.

I'm still working on sta level on and off, Made one template from scratch as a experiment to see if o could improve things.

OK ... been beta-testing the SURGE-EQ :mrgreen:

Get ready folks !

This EQ covers the entire spectrum with 3 bands and Hi/Low Shelving. The 'Bells' have incredible range of Q control, from a tight, surgical [Q=4] to a very broad/wide spance. [plenty of +/- gain].

The Shelves also cover a wide range of the spectrum, with a very smooth slope.

I've still much more sonic testing to do, but can say that it is indeed quite transparent ... but later tonite I hope to push hard obn the controls.

Tim ... one issue noticed :o The assignment of the sliders is starting at the 3rd slider/fader :| , but the 1st three faders go to mid-position after loading a preset. Something not quite right there.

back to testing :)
