Amethyst 500 series

With the look of the new "Amethyst" aqua plug in why not just make 500 series plug ins. So the people who lean towards one section are not stuck paying for... let's say the preamp and eq, but they only favor the compress, and so on. I think the sales will go through the roof. If people could pay 40.00 for the compressor, and not 100.00 for the compressor that just happens to have three other pliugins you are not really keen on.

Yeah I agree. This is a golden opportunity for Acoustica.

Agree..perhaps take it further by making 500 series from A*I, N**e, Moog etc.

Yes amethyst belong to a new product line, with a price tag accordingly aligned. We are trying to deliver each module at around 50 eur, which is more or less the price chosen by an other developer
In this case the units are 3 (preamp, eq, comp), but we were not sure about the preamp price, so at the end we discounted it.
This is not a mastering line, so we can keep it apart. To be honest it is too cheap for the company costs, but we tried a promotional price. Pink will be in the same range, we are evaluating/building it right now and we are trying to keep its price below 150 (they are 4 units)

The idea is to keep two acqua lines: mastering (normal racks) and this "500 style" one (500 racks inside 19'' racks), maybe supporting drag&drop even at this level in the future.

If you could make one with an 1176, an 1073 and something else coveted, they'd sell like hot cakes.
IMHO.

I always figured you could copy some of that other developer's business decisions, I wouldnt pay him monthly for his plugins but I certainly would pay acustica monthly to be able to use their plugins. I always figured that would drive sales up so much as people like me cant really afford your plugins so I just go the nebula route but would love some acquas some day
