AlexB: 4KD Channel Dynamics & G.Comp

Postby AlexB » Tue Dec 08, 2015 3:45 am

Hello,
the 4KD libraries released !!!

Controlling the Punch !
Channel Dynamics from the world's most successful studio production console which was the first one to incorporate dynamics processing with channel, and a master compressor in the console centre section. It's the first choice of world's best audio engineers to give punch, drive and to glue the mix together, maintaining control of the dynamics of single tracks.
4KD Channel Dynamics is the new version of the CLD. The unit has been resampled at both frequency rate 44.1kHz and 96kHz, it has better sonic performance and new presets.

. High Quality programs with full dynamics and harmonic content
. Special light edition "le" programs (CPU friendly)
. Channel Compressor
. Listen Mic Compressor
. Full Ratio control from 1,5:1 to Limit
. AHEAD extended
. Internal sidechain High Pass filter
. External sidechain control
. Drive control allows to set the sound from clean to fat
. Special AlexB skin
. No C.P. !

Please, check the website and download the user manual and try the Demo, it has the same audio quality and performance of the commercial releases but with some restrictions.

Glue the Mix !
Stereo Bus Compressor from the world's most successful studio production console which was the first to incorporate dynamics processing with every channel, and a master compressor in the console centre section. It's the first choice of world's best audio engineers to give punch, drive and to glue the mix together, maintaining control of the dynamics of single tracks.
4KD G.Comp is the new version of the CLD. The unit has been resampled at both frequency rate 44.1kHz and 96kHz, it has better sonic performance and new presets.

. High Quality programs with full dynamics and harmonic content
. Special light edition "le" programs (CPU friendly)
. Full Ratio control from 2:1 to 10:1
. AHEAD extended
. Internal sidechain High Pass filter
. External sidechain control
. Drive control allows to set the sound from clean to fat
. Special AlexB skin
. No C.P. !

Please, check the website and download the user manual and try the Demo, it has the same audio quality and performance of the commercial releases but with some restrictions.

Are these sampled with the same technique that you used for the modern flagship eq?

Of course, why not ?
To be honest, from the MF series the whole sampling has been improved a little bit in quality.

Hi Alex

quick question, the "g comp" names suggests it is modelled on a G series whilst the image on your site is of an E series... is it a G or an E... or are they the same comp?
I just love to know the small details...

Wont affect my decision to buy!! I just like to know

PS, congrats on another great release, cant wait to road test them!

PPS... Um... PCS & MTP... would LOVE a V2 of those libraries hint hint, if you get time ;) ;)

Fantastic release. I am done with the algorithmic compressors knowing that Nebula can sound so much better. :!:

Channel Compressor, Listen Mic Compressor and G.Bus compressor are from the same console, the 4000E and sampled circuitally stand alone, i.e. without the sound of the console. Yes, it's a little complex to do and it require to modify the circuit but the results are in these libraries 8-)

AlexB - I purchased "4KD - Dynamics Collection from S*L 4000E console" back in 2011, is that the same as the CLD? I'll try and upgrade and see what happens... :)

EDIT: Here's the one I purchased: 4KD Pro:

Are the attack and release fixed on these compressors?
