Did you really mean 900hz? That's getting into the high-mids, I never high-pass that high with compression. I know that there is not a "right" way to do most things in audio, but I am curious about your statement....

Besides, I just checked and the current 660 presets goes all the way to 5000hz, so that 900hz is already covered.

Yes 900hz.

I usaully have my hps on the bus compressors at around 150hz but 660 and 609 are different, the q of the hps is very soft. I do dance music, with deep kicks and subbasses in 808 style and when i demoed his stuff i had to really put the hps between 500 - 900hz (the 609 seems to be more basshungry).

Ok, that makes sense. But as I said, it already covers that, it goes all the way to 5000hz.

one of the changes is that that filter will only go up to 1khz now instead of 5. but as for the sharpness of the filter, its a 6th order filter in both the 609 and the 660. you really shouldn't have to be going up that high. can you tell me exactly which program you are using?

In 660 it was the 660 demo 44hz. I have the hps at 500 hz with 3 db gr and still lose lowend. With other compressors i dont have that issue. But its not a deal breaker for me anyway. Im gonna buy the v2 because the demo sounds so good.

ok thanks, i'll have to have a look at that demo, and probably should update it to reflect the changes i'm making to the full set..

i don't have the demo installed but i'm assuming that it's probably set up the same way with the filter unless i made a mistake with it, so maybe there's something else going on.

Might be a stupid question but how does this compare to the real M****y soundwise? I own many Acqua's but I don't own Nebula yet but I was planning to maybe buy it for this library. Cheers!

i bought this one upon it's release and i nearly forgot to try it out, now that i chuck it on my master, i used the pass-thru version and it just makes the whole song come alive, glues it together without effort, and mellows out harsh transients and still retain the punch and add some lovely sheen to counter, the whole song really moves now, the kick walks along with the song!

a real nice one! ;)
