I believe I read previously about the Temp Folder & Scanboot.xml steps, but will try again to see.
My confusion stems from selecting DISK, cycling thru NEWSETUP.xml, Rom.xml, scanboot.xml and seeing the SELECT BANK range numbers change. Do I choose just one and LOAD? ..... or select each one and LOAD? .... No User Manual to know how and why these are chosen and Loaded. Maybe I do not use DISK page and simply RELOAD on PROG page?
You (and Support) have made clear that there are no other limitations on how many Presets I can have access to.
you never need to touch anything on the disk page.
nebula scans all programs in nebulatemprepository/programs and loads it at start of a nebulainstance in your daw. when you put new programs/vectors into the directories in nebulatemprepository, nebula will detect them and make them available in the list (rightclick in the prog-page for the browser), IF they are meant to load in neb free.
in the style of hardwaresamplers it is all found in ROM.xml, which here is effectively just a list (where the files are stored and to be loaded from), that is extended by nebula, when new programs are found at startup. the scanboot.xml tells nebula which programs already are scanned, so don't need to be again.
system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox/x3, tracktion6/7, reaper system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6/7(32+64bit)

Outstanding explanation for a 'left-brainer' like me. Now quite comfortable to use and enjoy Nebula 3FREE to its full extent. I'm impressed highly with quality and diverse libraries available for my needs and interests.
