Favorite general purpose EQ?

Postby SWAN » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:38 pm

Just wondering what library serves general EQ duties best? Im thinking about switching to 96k and making my system more concise...(FLEX EQ user previously)

Im thinking about going with Alex B Modern White EQ and S*L EQ...I want to avoid having too many choices...focus on making music...

Not a Nebula library, but DDMF 6144, one of the best I've ever heard.

Generally speaking those are my two main go-to EQs. I still use others that I've purchased but mostly when I'm not 100% happy with what I'm hearing from CLeQ and MWeQ which seems to be rare; those two cover a fair amount of ground.

Yep! Amazing!

For Nebula: Alex B stated he likes MWQ for general purposes and I agree. It's very flexible and sounds great.

the DDMF 6144 is decent but I dont think is really much different to 2 EQ Pro in anapeak mode...just a different package and small amount of saturation...

Anyways - that about settles it - CLQ and MWQ. I like how Alex B programs are nice and concise - rather than the 40 odd programs you get from CDSOundmaster...as a music maker Im trying to streamline things...
