Hi Tim, is this Pultec done the same as Gyrator - using your dynamic sampling technique? Great to hear some demos (even though I'm sure it is brill ;) )

I won't go into the techniques used.

A few people are already making demo's. I can do some special request processing though. It's all about what people want to hear out of it?. It's pretty powerful and clear.

You can send me a track for processing if you wish. Drop me a PM or email

It's the perfect compliment to Gyrator. Gyrator is missing shelf boosts. so that pultec is just perfect for some more color. using it on a lot of busses. and the skin is so cool to use. its perfect the sound and the UI. best pultec in software form period. will post some cool demo soon but guys hurry up and get this thing.

Thank you tim! you did it again

Hi Tim, what is the difference between AlexB Pultec EQP-1A and T**e-T**h PE 1C?
From what I hear, Pultec has a more vintage sound, especially the lows, and T**e-T**h more modern and clear.

Is that so?

Thank you!

Hi Shibata,

Sorry Don't know the differences. I did ask a engineer who's used both and he said they do sound different but for what reasons is unknown to me. Age,different Circuit or component differences. I have no reference. I don't know much about T******h. I've only ever used there compressors. I'm guessing a tube tech is a fresh unit so would ultimately sound cleaner. Usually Electrolytic Capacitors need replacing in old gear. Or it could be simple mismatches in impedance if they use different modern spec input transformers. For example one of the reasons a La2a sounds warm in modern situations is usually because of a mismatch between equipment.
This could actually be replicated with a few components.
You often hear people say all ep1a's sound different, I would say for the most part it would be down to tolerances and components going out of spec overtime like Carbon composite resistors and electrolytics.
