Hello,

The Vintage American X-citer has been released !!!

Aural eXcitement !
The Vintage American X-citer brought its distinctive sound by leading recording artists in the middle of 1970. The VAX easily meets the quality, performance, and reliability requirements of the demanding professionals.

VAX has been sampled at 44.1kHz and 96kHz in a professional recording studio with custom converters built specifically for NAT3 which outperforms $20k commercial converters.

Please, check the website and download the user manual and the VAX-Demo, it has the same audio quality of the commercial release.

Demo sounds superb, will compare it to my little aflax box when I get my hands back on it, don't remember it sounding this nice but will A/B before I commit, just too many other nice things you got alex that don't know what to stick top of my list at moment
I wish I could drum half as well with two hands as one of Terry Bozzio's feet

Sometime ago I tried Waves VST version of the exciter but did'nt like it much. I decided to take the plunge with Alex's library and am glad I did!

I can't be bothered to analyze and comment on why I like it, it's enough to me that I do like it ;) !

Thanks, Alex,

Mauri.

I just bought this library, and for me, is amazing what it does, I have only tried presets and bus mastering and the result is overwhelming. The acabdo has not convinced me is the battery bus. I must say that just put it in a mix that already had made, will have to work further with the presets.

I am thinking this myself.
I wonder if that is what the "Tone" control is for, as described in the manual:
"The “Tone” control sets the point where the exciter begins to engage."

I only have the demo right now - will check if I can test it out and set it to neutral or not. :)

If you use Reaper, you already have wet/dry. If not, just set up some parallel processing with an extra track.

Oh yes that's right richie43, thanks. I tested Reaper mix knob on the demo version and there doesn't seem to be any phasing probs from what I can hear.Just a bit (like 20% in some cases) goes a long way!

Unfortunately I goofed around too long and missed the intro sale... :(
