Have you tried the Waves version? I think it's ok. I dont use it much. its like the Kramer Tape. more for effect.

Yes I tried it, it has a very cool GUI and it is hard to use the ears with it :D , they made a great trap for vintage gear fetishists...

Really I find its sound is a nice sound but iwhen I use R2R or APEX and Michael's tools the results are more and more realistics. I mean (and this is something I find in a lot of Waves plugins) theirs J37 has something beyond the original gear sound, like a waves signature sound (like theirs J37 Director's cut)

I do prefer nebula because you get just the real behaviour of gear, not what the waves guys think a j37 should be or sound for nowdays.

That is why I am so interested into this j37 project, it could be the first and only time for being able to acces to a "real" j37 machine into digital world. The same for Apex 351, Michael's one is THE machine, waves' one is the interpretation the waves team do about what a 351 should be.

The Waves version is usable I agree, but it's not Nebula :). I would love to have a J37 to go along with the other tape libraries.

This EQ brings the most life of all EQs I think! It's subtle, but flick between the 's' non dynamic versions and the originals and you soon start to pick up what is going on.

Try turning the kernels to clean also, I am liking that even more for sounds that don't want to get dirtier but just get larger and more 'real'

Excellent!

- Hi! Not sure abouth what you mean by "flick between the 's' non dynamic versions and the originals and you soon start to pick up what is going on."?
I purchased my library in November, is there an update where we can choose from a 's'-version and a dynamic one?

- Can you enlighten me? :)

Go back to page 6 of the thread.

I put some extra presets for lower CPU up a week or two later. They are just n2p files.

These were a special request :-)
