AlexB - Vintage Master eQ v2 : Released !

Postby AlexB » Sat Oct 04, 2014 11:38 am

Hello,

the Vintage Master eQ v2 has been released !!!

The Vintage Symphonic and Movie Sound
Custom designed for the classical mastering division of Teldec Records, these very rare discrete stereo mastering program equalizers are passive coils. The original circuit has received some modification to make it suitable for modern mastering purpose by improving the original musicality that makes program audio sound better and more punchy just by passing through it even when set "flat".
One unit has three bands: low, mid and high while the other unit, even more rare and used to equalize the audio in the cinema, has two bands only: low and high.

VMeQ v2 has been sampled at 44.1kHz and 96kHz in a professional recording studio with custom converters built specifically for NAT3 which outperforms $20k commercial converters.

NOTE: since the sampled hardware is the same, you can easily compare the old release with this new one to hear the sound and quality improvements by my proprietary sampling technique, and also previous vs new converters (Prism vs AlexB).

Please, check the website and download the user manual and the VMeQv2-Demo, it has the same audio quality of the commercial release.

Special price until 20th Oct. 2014!

If you have the old VMeQ you can update with a little fee (5,00EUR) by sending an email request.

No C.P. !

Thank you, all the best ! 8-)

Absolutely no. GMC is a console, this is an equalizer called VMeQ.

Just got the chance to put in my upgrade request for this !

... and ...

since mentioned ... I hope the GMC would be considered for a v2. It is another great library from AlexB ... in fact, the entire suite :D

I loved the old version. But I uninstalled it completely after using this V2 for less than an hour. A very simple library (very few parameters, not a "surgical" device), but extremely versatile still. Loving it.

Hi Richie,

hmm ... was going to do the same A/B test.

In fact, v1 is currently in use on a new mastering project I just recieved. Just using the LowShelf to add a touch to the bottom and fills it out nicely.

Also using the GMC on this. Perfect for the track style.

I'm also eyeing the other v2 release [E*I ??] not sure the name ... will look for a demo to listen.

ok ... just got the VMeQ-2 installed. Have not had the chance to check it out as yet. I still have the original PRO version installed.

At the moment, not sure I've actually loaded v2 into Nebula ... the presets loaded with no return to INIT and have not seen a .SER file for it. When I get back later I'll check again.

Didn't we address this already about one of Alex's console libraries...?
He is releasing these with no cp, so there will be no ser created. Just enjoy them!
