I think the distortion is getting much better, I'm dealing with a side of nebula that didn't used to be that good! Keep in mind this is demonstration of what's possible.early day's. I like the nebula version in terms of smoothness. It's really slapping on slower attacks.
I think it's getting better as well. I know this stuff is purely subjective but to me Tim's distortion breaths more and punches more where as the UAD one, although nice, seems more like a representation of the signal, pushed back rather than sounding alive and dimensional.
Important note: don't forget to level match at the rms level here. Since distortion helps with that, that is what we truly want to examine in comparing these two. It is about -5.4 dB needed on the uad file
