CDS is pleased to announce the release of our new stand-alone plug-in suite: The ARQ TRIDE-N-TRU "A-RANGE" EQ AND CHANNEL STRIP WINDOWS PC VST PLUG-IN SUITE !!!
The ARQ TRIDE-N-TRU "A-RANGE" EQ AND CHANNEL STRIP WINDOWS PC VST PLUG-IN SUITE provides you with the finest reproduction of the original Tride-N-Tru A-Range Console! The ARQ makes use of a real analog reproduction channel from the console (it is considered "da king" of A-Range recreations!)
The ARQ Suite is made up of 6 independent Plug-Ins, providing you with the highest quality High EQ, High-Mid EQ, Mid EQ, Low EQ, Low-Mid EQ, High-Low Cut, and a single Plug-In that switches between Four Modes for use as a console- line with and without EQ engaged, and mic path with and without EQ.
The A-Range was expensive to design and custom build. 3 of the remaining 4 original A-Range consoles have been used to compare the actual audio, and the consensus is that the A-Range reproduction represented in this Plug-In Suite is the ultimate example of the original console. It is truly "da King" of A-Range designs! The added EQ options and transformers are considered an upgrade; the cleaner and more dimensional Jensen input and output transformers.

As exciting as the newer multi-band Acqua plugins have been (for work-flow aspects, I guess), don't disregard this suite because they are multiple plugins. Michael is one of the premier experts with sampling and always has good reasons for releasing things in whatever formats he does. In fact, many different times I have tested for him and challenged some sort of a decision of his, he has ALWAYS answered in ways that completely negated my question (in short, he knows what he is doing and ALWAYS releases the best possible product, even if we don't always agree at first). I personally still prefer the single instances (the "old-school" Acqua style) since I sort of have an idea of what i want and would rather have single instances processing the audio (less system overhead, less "stacking" of tones, etc). Everyone will make up their own minds on this, of course, but I wanted to chime in about how gorgeous these plugins are, and need to remind people that Michaels stuff is THE stuff.
